Attention Michigan Center Parents and Guardians,
On Friday, November 12, East Jackson Schools are hosting a child vaccination clinic in partnership with the Jackson County Health Department. East Jackson School District kindly offered Michigan Center School District slots to participate. Nurses and health officials will be on site in the East Jackson High School volleyball gym to distribute vaccinations to eligible students from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. Parking will be available in the back of the building by the volleyball gym.
It is important to note that Covid vaccinations are not required for students. Local districts are working with area health partners to provide families access to vaccinations in a way that is safe, easy, and quick as possible. There is no cost for the vaccination, but appointments are required.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to participate.
If you are interested in getting your child vaccinated, but the date doesn’t work for you, please contact your medical provider, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, or local pharmacies. They will be able to assist you in getting an appointment scheduled.
If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.
