Enrollment Age Requirements

A recently enacted Michigan law amended the Revised School Code (MCL380.1147), which changed the minimum age requirement for a child enrolling in kindergarten. Children must turn 5 years of age on or before September 1, in order to register for kindergarten; and must be 5 years of age on or before December 1 to enroll in our Young 5s program.

K-12 Enrollment

To enroll your child for the upcoming school year, please begin the enrollment process using the button below. Please call ahead for instructions and times as each building will differ. Once accepted, further documents will be required to complete the enrollment process.

Documents needed to enroll:

Birth Certificate
Immunization Records
Proof of Residency (ex. Utility bill, Mortgage Statement, Lease or Rental paperwork, must be something tied to the place of residence.)

For enrollment into the Jr/Sr High School, please pick up an enrollment packet in the office. Call our main office at 517-764-1440, or email Ginger.Blakeman@mccardinals.org, Crystal.Madol@mccardinals.org, or Shawn.Kiley@mccardinals.org with any questions you have about enrollment in the Jr/Sr High School.

For enrollment into Keicher Elementary (grades 3rd - 6th), please pick up an enrollment packet in their office located at 137 Broad St. Call our main office at 517-764-5200, or email Amy.Satterthwaite@mccardinals.org;or Lisa.Haynes@mccardinals.org with any questions you have about enrollment at Keicher.

*** If you do not live in Michigan Center School District you must first apply for School of Choice. The School of Choice form is available using the "School of Choice Enrollment Site" (linked below), or can be picked up at any of our buildings.
